Mr. David Charles Adams, 67, of Cumming, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 (today) at The First Christian Church in Cumming with the Rev. Stan Percival officiating. Interment will follow at Osborn Cemetery in Hiawassee.

Mr. Adams was a member of the First Christian Church in Cumming, member of PAGE, member of the National Park Foundation, former chemist, teacher, school principal and was Director of School Safety and Discipline for Forsyth County. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar (Bandaddy) Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Adams of Cumming; sons and daughter-in-law, Todd and Beth Adams of Kernersville, N.C. and Patrick Adams of Athens; grandson, Brent Adams; mother, Orene (Momene) Adams of Hiawassee; brothers and sisters-inlaw, Jim and Cindy Adams of Athens and Steve and Brenda Adams of Gainesville; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
