Mt. Carmel will hold revival services 7:30 p.m. nightly Monday, Aug. 2, through Friday, Aug. 6. The guest minister will be Diane Hairwood of Augusta.

Bible Missionary Baptist Church will hold Family and Friend Night 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7. Minister Mary Alice Reese and Pastor Charlie Reese will bring the message. Refreshments will be served.

New Light Baptist Church to hold sale

New Light Baptist Church of Millen will have an attic sale 7:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, at the church. Children’s clothes and toys will be available.

The Rev. William Patterson, pastor, and the church family invites the public.

West Millen Baptist to give away clothes

A free clothes give-away will be held in the fellowship hall of West Millen Baptist Church 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7.

Clothes are available for men, women, youth and children.

Dr. Khaw to perform at M.U.M.C.

Dr. A. J. Khaw, a pediatrician from Miami, will be giving a piano/organ concert at the Millen United Methodist Church 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17. Following the program, a reception will

be held in the social hall.

Dr. Khaw has a B. A. in piano performance from Emory University and has been trained at Pacific Lutheran University on the pipe organ. He has been serving as a church organist since he was 14 years old. He is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Bernie Khaw of the Millen United Methodist Church. The program will include jazz presentations of hymns and spirituals. There is no admission charge, only a freewill offering will be taken for the church.
