Mrs. Betty L. Gibson Sikes, 72, of Millen, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Jenkins County Hospital.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Green Fork Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. She was born in Jenkins County and was a homemaker and member of Green Fork Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sikes was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Wakefield.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Sikes; two daughters, Erika VanBuren and Patricia Bame; and five grandchildren, all of Millen.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
