Notice to parents of JCES students
Please note the following changes will be in effect at Jenkins County Elementary School (JCES) for the 2010- 2011 school year.
Car riders will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. Parents may form two lines in front of the school when picking up their children. Parents should not go to the classrooms to pick up their children. Parents should wait in their cars or in the front lobby.
Bus riders will be dismissed at approximately 2:55 p.m.
All transportation notes must be handwritten/typed and signed by a parent/legal guardian. Transportation changes will not be taken over the phone except in case of extreme emergency and without the approval of a school administrator. Notes may be sent to the school with the student, may be faxed to the school at 478-982-6027, or may be taken to the school during the day. All transportation changes must be made before 2:00 p.m.
All Grab’N Go breakfasts will be eaten in the cafeteria. Students will no longer be allowed to take these items into the hallways or classrooms.
Please remember the following:
Students must have a clear or mesh book bag. Rolling book bags are not allowed except with appropriate medical documentation.
All visitors must sign in with the school secretary and obtain a Visitor’s Pass.
