The Chatter Box

By Deborah Bennett

By the time The Millen News comes out this week, the big announcement at Magnolia Springs State Park concerning archeological discoveries at Camp Lawton will have been made. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the event and our publication schedule, we were unable to get the information into this week’s issue. We will, however, post a news story on the event to our website at www.themillennews.com as soon as possible.

Full details on the discoveries will be published in next week’s edition.

I received an e-mail message from Rex D. Kent of Warner Robins who asked for assistance in locating members of the Millen High School Class of 1933 for his aunt, Ida Kent Davis, who was a member of the class. He would like to have the names of class members with information indicating if they are living or deceased. He believes his aunt may be the last surviving member of the class.

If you have any information on this matter, you may contact Mr. Kent at 113 Falling Leaves Drive, Covington, GA 31088 or e-mail him at vrkent@cox.net.
