It is Monday morning as I write this column, and I am hoping for a good week, better than the last one.

As most of you are aware, The Millen News arrived a day late by mail last week. We had problems with our mailing software and could not get them out on time. Technology is wonderful when it works correctly, but it is not worth a cent when it doesn’t!

Of course, we used to do all the paperwork for mailing the newspapers by hand, and any problems encountered could be easily corrected with a pencil eraser. Now, we need a “technology specialist” to figure things out when something goes wrong.

Hopefully, the problem has been solved, and mail subscribers will receive their newspapers on time. If not, I vote that we go back to doing everything by hand. I know how to use a pencil eraser really well!
