LaVonte, now a senior at Jenkins County High School, has been an active 4- H member since he was in the fifth grade.

“He has demonstrated strong leadership skills on a local, district and now state level. He has risen up through the ranks as a local and district officer, and will now lead the entire state 4-H Program for a year. This is truly an honor for LaVonte, his parents and the county,” commented Jenkins County Extension Service Coordinator Wade Parker.
