Mr. Fay A. Kirkland, Jr. (Kirk), 60, formerly of Millen, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010 at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Visitation will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at Beacon Baptist Church in Barbourville, KY and the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 at Beacon Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held in Millen 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Fay Kirkland Sr., his mother, Annie Laura Kirkland, and his brother, Kenny Kirkland.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Jan Hobbs, of Barbourville, KY; his children, Angela Bragg of Martinez, GA, Tammy (Don) Oglesby and Donald Kirkland, all of Millen; his sister, Sally Kirkland of Millen; his brother Sebie Kirkland of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Justin Bragg and Kara Oglesby; his stepsons, Mark (Jamie) Hobbs and Matthew (Ashley) Hobbs of Barbourville, KY; and his step-grandchildren, Allison Hobbs, Bryce Hobbs and Tanner Hobbs, all of Barbourville, KY.
