Dr. Hamon travels to Ukraine for misison trip
On Sept. 6, Dr. B.G. Hamon will board an airplane in Savannah
to fly to Ukraine on another mission trip. He will daily conduct seminars, conferences and leadership shops. At night, he will minister in churches across the country.
This will be the eighth time that Dr. Hamon will be making his “last trip.”
He said, “I had my 80th birthday on Aug. 28 and will celebrate it by going back to Ukraine the next week for the last time. And at my age now, I am determined to make this one definitely my last.”
Since Dr. Hamon retired from full time ministry 18 years ago, he began going regularly to Russia, Ukraine and the Philippines. In that time he has raised over $110,000 cash to take to orphanages and rehabilitation centers operated by the churches where he ministers. In addition, he has taken approximately $566,500 of medicine and medical equipment that was given free of charge to people in Russia and Ukraine.
Dr. Hamon states, “It’s been wonderful, and I loved every minute of every trip. But my family has strongly urged me to let a younger man do it now. I’m sure they are right, and this one will be my last.”
