Class of ’55 holds reunion

The Jenkins County High School Class of 1955 met for lunch Saturday, July 24, to celebrate its 55th year anniversary. There were 14 class members in attendance. From left, are first row: Gus Cheney, Mildred Parker Higginbotham, Ed Graham, Joan Carswell Graham, Mamie Quick Thomas, Amalie Reeves Helbert, Larry Lanier and Billy Johnson; and second row: Bobbie Jean Dickey, Buddy Waye, Betty Royal Bolton, Buddy Rabitsch, Duane Sasser and Ray Hendley. Others joining the group to share memories were Marion Cheney, Edsel Higginbotham, Marilyn Waye, Hardy Thomas, Sandra Rabitsch, Frances Lanier, Paula Johnson and Buddy Harvill. (Photo contributed)
