Truck driving students at STC have 100% pass rate
Southeastern Technical College’s commercial truck driving program had a 100 percent pass rate on the mandatory state board test. A total of 13 students sat for the state board exams, and all first-time test takers passed.
Swainsboro graduates include Vince Brantley, Daniel Elder, Andrew Johnson and Daniel Overstreet.
The commercial truck driving program provides training for those individuals seeking a Commercial Drive’s License (CDL). In addition to classroom instruction, students receive commercial truck driving training on site and on the road. The certificate program is a 7-10 week course of study. Classes are offered on the Swainsboro campus during the day.
“Our students are dedicated to their field of study and their future,” said Ricky Strange, commercial truck driving instructor at Southeastern Tech. “We are excited about the success of the program. These students are ready for the workforce.”
