Window to the past!
The recent archaeological discoveries at Camp Lawton have renewed interest in the Civil War history of the area. These photos of the prison and destruction of Millen Junction by General Sherman’s troops were published in the Jan. 7, 1865 issue of Harpers Weekly and submitted by a Millen News subscriber who has the original page from the magazine.
