Big Horse Creek to hold Homecoming

Homecoming services will be held at Big Horse Creek Baptist church Aug. 8. Sunday Schools begins at 10 a.m. and the worship service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ray Freeman will be the guest speaker.

Music will be provided by the Hickman Family and a covered dish lunch will be served after the service.

The public is invited to attend. Prayer Walk

Millen-Make-a-Difference is sponsoring a prayer walk for Jenkins County schools Sunday, Aug. 14. The walk will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the elementary, middle and high schools. The public is invited to participate in this annual event as the Lord’s blessings on students and school personnel is sought. West Millen sponsors “clothes give-away”

There will be a “clothes give-away” for children before school opens 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at West Millen Baptist Church school hall.

The event is sponsored by the Baptist Women Lydia Group of the church. Mt. Carmel to hold revival services

Mt. Carmel Church will hold revival services 7:30 p.m. nightly Aug. 8-14. The guest speaker for the week will be Minister Diane Harewood.

Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m. and the morning worship at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Pastor Jerome Herrington and church members invite all surrounding churches to attend. Evening Light Church of God to hold anniversary

Evening Light Church of God, 220 Washington Street, will observe its 50th church anniversary 11:45 a.m. Aug. 14. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Reginald Anderson Sr. of Allenhurst.

The Rev. Carolyn Miller, pastor, and members invite the public to attend.
