Library News

Happy Halloween! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the Fall Festival last night, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Saturday, Nov. 3, is International Games Day, and we’ve got a special day planned. This will be the first year ever we participate in the National Mario Kart Wii Tournament. The event will be from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., and we will have plenty of games, snacks and fun on hand for all who come. This great free event is open to all ages, so bring the whole family for a terrific time.

Don’t forget to “fall back” out of Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, Nov. 4. Also, Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6,

Wednesdays are wonderful at the library. Every Wednesday at 4 p.m. we have a super Storytime for preschool and elementary kids. They can listen to a story and do a fun craft while they learn to love reading. This week’s theme is Fall.

The library will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12, for staff training.

New at the library – “The Racketeer” by John Grisham. Who is the Racketeer, and what does he know about the violent deaths of a judge and his secretary? Former attorney (and current guest of the federal penitentiary system) Malcolm Bannister knows plenty, and he’d love to tell the FBI… for a price.
