Absentee voting underway in November elections

Absentee voting by mail is currently underway for the Nov. 4th General Election and the Special Election to elect the seat of Jenkins County Tax Commissioner.

Applications for Absentee ballots are available at the office of the Jenkins County Registrar at the Jenkins County Courthouse. Voters may also request an application by mail, fax or telephone. The last date to make an application for an Absentee ballot and for a ballot to be mailed is Oct. 31st.

Advance (in-person) voting will begin Oct. 13th and continue through Oct. 31st. Voting will take place at the Jenkins County Courthouse 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Voters may also cast their ballots 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25th.

The last day to register to vote in the election is Oct. 6th. It is also the last day voters may make a name or address change.
