Reverend Lee Pettis appointed to Millen United Methodist Church

Lee Pettis and Pam Pettis (Photo contributed) Reverend Lee Pettis has been appointed by the bishop and cabinet of the United Methodist South Georgia Conference to serve the Millen United Church. Rev. Pettis received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia and graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University with a Master of Divinity Degree. He is working on his dissertation in the Doctor of Ministry program at Asbury Theological Seminary. Millen United Methodist Church is his fourth appointment. Prior to his service as a fulltime minister Rev. Pettis worked as a CPA. Rev. Pettis will be joined by his wife, Pam, a retired registered nurse. They have three children and four grandchildren. Rev. Pettis’ first Sunday in the pulpit will be June 14th. Rev. Pettis states he has a passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples for His kingdom. The community is invited to join the congregation of the MUMC in welcoming the Rev. and Mrs. Pettis at a reception in the church social hall on Sunday, June 14, from 1-3 p.m.
