May is here, and we have lots of fun stuff planned! We’re going to start things off this Saturday, May 6. at 12:30 p.m. with a great video game event for the teens and older kids, part of our “Teen Space” series.

The kids, of course, will have plenty of fun at our special weekly storytime, held every Tuesday at 4 p.m. This Tuesday, May 9, we will be telling stories in honor of Mother’s Day. Next Tuesday, May 16, we will be swapping stories about frogs.

On Saturday, May 13, at 4 p.m. we will have our next “How It’s Done” adult workshop, where we will show you how to turn a bit of plastic canvas and some yarn into a cute custom bookmark.

Our “Paint at the Library” adult painting class will be on Saturday, May 20, at 12:30 p.m., and we will be painting a summery beach scene.

In one short month, we will be having our spectacular Summer Reading Program. It’s a great way to keep your child’s reading skills up while giving them lots of fun things to do. We’re going to be having wonderful weekly programs featuring everything from our very favorite magician, David Ginn who will be appearing on Tuesday, June 6, at 2 p.m. to Ronald McDonald, appearing Tuesday, June 27, at 2 p.m. to everyone’s favorite mad scientist, Doc Atoms, appearing at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 17, plus a lot more! It’s going to be a blast, so sign up today.
