Red Hill School will hold commencement exercises May 19th when Mrs. Daniel and Mrs. Jones present the music students in a recital and play, “Thomas Sawyer.” Those taking part in the recital and play include Bobby Clarke, Gladys Clarke, Harold Clark, Betty Jean Lewis, Willard Joyner, Patsy Royal, Fred Saxon, Ruby Jenkins, Gary Cates, Melvin Sapp, Shevy Jean Jenkins and Doris Barefield.

Game Protector George A. Wiggins, along with other Rangers, have rounded up some 35 wire traps out of the Ogeechee River. No cases have been made but several are under investigation and cases will probably be made shortly.

Jenkins County Health Departments announces 23 births and six deaths in the county for the month of April. Twenty-four cases of hookworm and 23 cases of whooping cough were also reported.

Twins, Alberta Chance and Roberta Chance tie for top honors of the senior class. Roberta will give the Valedictorian address and Alberta will give the Salutatorian address. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Harold O. Chance of Millen.

Millen and Jenkins County will be privileged to see the Liberty Bell replica in Millen on May 24th on Cotton Avenue.
