Opal Lanier Hall

Mrs. Opal Lanier Hall, age 88, of Millen died Friday, June 2, 2017 at Ogeechee Area Hospice.

She was born in Jenkins County, and was a retired seamstress for Jockey International, and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband L. B. Hall and son, David Luther Hall; parents, Grady and Susie Oglesby Lanier; step-mother, Mable Lanier; sisters, Fannie Pearl Lanier, Ella Lanier Johnson; brothers, Reamer Lanier and James Grady Lanier.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Pulliam officiating with burial following in the Hebron Cemetery in Garfield.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Bazemore (Palmer) of Sylvania; a son, Larry Hall of Garfield; a sister, Judy Phillips (Jimmy); 8 grandchildren, Beth Hall, Amy Bazemore, Angie Hall (Trent), Tammy Cauley, Bart Hall, Ronnie Bazemore (Holly), Joseph Bazemore, and Pablo Bazemore; great-grandchildren, Cassie Bazemore, Ivey Bazemore, Scout Hall, Paige Cauley, and Dylan Cauley; and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers were Steve Hendley, Clay Clark, Ronnie Bazemore, Zann Lanier, Jeffrey Hall, and Scott Phillips.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen is in charge of arrangements.
