Bay Branch to host gospel program

Southern Raised will be at Bay Branch Baptist Church, 4029 Millen Hwy., on Friday July 28th, at 7 pm. Free admission. The group features Bluegrass, Acappella, Classical, Americana Gospel music. All are welcome.

Green Fork to host program

On Sunday, July 30, Green Fork Baptist Church will have a special guest speaker from the North American Mission Board, Rev. Bill Barker, Director of Appalachian Regional Ministry. At 9:30 a.m. there will be a breakfast and at 10 a.m., during Sunday School, Rev. Barker will hare about his ministry in the Appalachian region and about a special project called Backpacks for Appalachia. Rev. Barker will preach during the 11a.m. service.

Fountain Spring to host program

Fountain Spring Baptist Church will host a special program 7:30 p.m. July 26-28th. The speaker will be Elder Pearlstine Orlando Capers of Allendale, S.C.


Rodagus Thomas Rodagus Thomas Zion Baptist to host Community Youth Sunday

The fifth Sunday Youth Program will be held at Zion Baptist Church 11:30 a.m. on July 30. Speaker for the occasion will be Mr. Rodagus Thomas, a native of Millen, currently residing in Blythewood, S.C. Mr. Thomas was born and raised in Jenkins County. He attended Jenkins County schools and is a 1985 graduate of Jenkins County High School. He furthered his education at Georgia Southern University in the field of Business Administration. After college, Mr. Thomas relocated to Augusta, Georgia. He has been employed in the retail automobile business for 30 years. He is currently co-owner of Heritage Auto Sales of Columbia, located in Columbia, S.C. and he is also a member of the Carolina Independent Automobile Dealer Association. Mr. Thomas and wife, Laquitta, their children, Jasmine, RJ, Justin and Austin reside in Blythewood, S.C. where they attend Journey United Methodist Church. Pastor Broomfield and church family invite the public to attend.
