Qualifying for City of Millen election begins Aug. 21st

The Nonpartisan Municipal Election for the City of Millen will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7th, at the City Hall.

Candidates desiring to qualify for this election may do so Monday, Aug. 21, at 8:30 a.m. until Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at the office of the Probate Judge/Municipal Election Superintendent, Jenkins County Courthouse.

The seats up for election are Council Member Ward #1, to succeed Walter Thomas, Council Member Ward #2, to succeed Ed Fuller; and Council Member Ward #3, to succeed Reginia Denise Coney.

The qualifying fee is $72 for each position up for election.

Anyone who is not already registered to vote in this election may do so until Tuesday, October 10th at the office of the Jenkins County Registrar, Jenkins County Courthouse.
