Bloodmobile to be here Aug. 28th

The bloodmobile of Shepeard Community Blood

Center will be in the Rite Aid parking lot from 1-6 p.m. on

Monday, Aug. 28.

If you are healthy and well, weigh at least 110 pounds and are at least 17 years old, you are encouraged to come out to the blood drive and be someone’s hero by donating blood. If you are 16 years old, you may donate with a signed parental consent form. This form is available for downloading and printing on shepeardblood.org//Programs/Schoolprograms/ParentalConsentTodonateForm. All donors will receive a free Shepeard t-shirt, free health screening and post-donation refreshments. Please do not forget to bring your Shepeard Blood Donor Card or picture ID, when coming to donate.

Shepeard would also like to publicly acknowledge and show appreciation to the 13 heroes who came out to donate blood at the July blood drive at Rite Aid Pharmacy. Ten units of lifesaving blood were collected, thus saving 30 local lives! Thank you to the following people for rolling up their sleeves and giving selflessly:

Kaelin Deal, Patricia Allen, Jasmine Sapp, Jean Williams, Shanette Johnson, Durand Amerson, Nicholas Williams, Jay Bowers, Nan Bowers, Shannon Morris, Helen Davis, Alvin Bragg and Raven Williams.
