(Photos con tribute) Dr. Silvia Rozier, a 1976 graduate from STC’s LPN program, was the guest speaker for the Swainsboro ceremony. She currently works on the faculty of East Georgia State College as the Director of their Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Dr. Rozier encouraged the graduates to look forward to their future but to be grateful for the sacrifices they have had to make to get to this day. She reminded the graduates of the responsibilities that will be presented to them with the career they have chosen.

“Know what you know, but know also what you do not know,” states Dr. Rozier. “These things you do not know could be the key to your success or the key to your failure. So, know that you have made it here today, but understand you do not know all of that which is to come.”

Guest speaker Dr. Chelsea Tehan, graduate of Florida State University and practicing Pediatrician at Vidalia Children Center, implored the students on the Vidalia campus to strive for excellence in their career.

“You have been given a great foundation of knowledge for this career,” states Dr. Tehan. “However, being a great nurse means you must be willing to learn and grow every day. So don’t stop learning; be great nurses.”
