If you’re looking for a great way to spend an hour or so this Saturday, we have a terrific idea: our “How It’s Done” adult workshop! This Saturday, September 16 at 12:30 p.m. you can learn how to turn a bit of yarn and a disposable cup into a cute and useful container for your pencils and other small items. It’s a wonderful way to explore some basic weaving techniques.

Every Tuesday at 4 p.m. we have our afterschool storytime, and it’s a lot of fun for the little ones. They can listen to a great story and do a creative craft project related to the story. This Tuesday, September 19, we will have a Spongebob Squarepants storytime. Next Tuesday, September 26, our theme will be fall.

Our “Paint @ the Library” adult painting workshop will be on Saturday, September 30, at 12:30 p.m. We will show you the basics of acrylic painting as we paint an autumn scene.

Do you have your library card? September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and we want everyone in Screven and Jenkins Counties to have the smartest card they’ll ever have – their library card.
