The Heritage Inn and Rehabilitation of Statesboro sponsored the Jenkins County Senior Citizens Center's anniversary celebration. The clients enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar and reminisced about favored activities since the center's re-opening on September 26, 2016. Awards were given to the client with the most attended days, Mr. Willie Bostic, and the client that brought in the most new clients, Mrs. June VanBuren.

The Senior Citizens Center would like to thank the Jenkins County Commissioners and the entire community for their continued support throughout this past year. “We are so appreciative of the donations, volunteered time, event sponsorships, and words of encouragement that have been offered. We are grateful for the ability to continue providing services to the senior citizens of this community,” said Erin Drake, director.
