Bryce Joyner named as Border Bowl player

(Photo contributed) The best high school senior football players from Georgia and South Carolina will face off in the fifth annual WJBF Sports-Augusta Chronicle Border Bowl on January 6, 2018 at Lucy Laney Memorial Stadium in Augusta.

Among those taking to the field with be Jenkins County High School (JCHS) Senior, Bryce Joyner, son of Jeff and Judy Joyner. Bryce has been named to the offensive line for the Georgia team. Players for the Georgia and South Carolina teams are chosen by a team of area coaches.

Bryce played football at Jen- kins County Middle School in grades 6-8 and has played for the JCHS War Eagles 9-12th grades. He plays on the offensive line. Bryce has also participated in baseball and cross country.

Upon graduation, Bryce plans to attend college and pursue a career in Electrical Engineering.

Border Bowl gates open at 10 a.m. on January 6th and the game starts at 11 a.m. Tickets are $10 at the gate. Online ticket information will be available soon. All proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta.
