A Gainesville, Florida man is facing numerous charges in connection with the Dec. 4th theft of a 2006 Infinity QX56 from the parking lot of Edenfield Feed and Seed on Hwy. 25 North in Millen.

Millen Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the location for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim stated that after he had gone into the store a black male entered his vehicle and drove away. MPD investigators were called to the scene and notified that weapons were in the vehicle and that it was last seen traveling north on Hwy. 25.

Detectives were able to track the vehicle as it traveled north on Hwy. 25 and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (SO) was notified. The vehicle was stopped by the Richmond County SO and the driver, McNeil, was taken into custody. The car owner’s vehicle and belongings were returned without incident.

A search of McNeil’s person and belongings uncovered a stolen license plate from Kentucky and a traffic citation that he received the same morning in Florida in a different vehicle. MPD Officers searched the Millen area and found a 2017 Ford Explorer with another stolen license plate out of Florida. This vehicle was stolen from Gainesville Pontiac Buick GMC in Gainesville, FL.
