Easter Egg Hunt at Magnolia huge success!

Easter at Magnolia Springs State Park! Easter at Magnolia Springs State Park! On Saturday, March 24, the Friends of Magnolia Springs State Park (FMSSP) sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt for numerous children of the community at Magnolia Springs State Park.

Prior to the hunt, over 6,000 eggs were hidden and separate areas for the hunt were provided for children 3 years and under; ages 4 to 7; and ages 7-12. Following the hunt, the children were invited to participate in hay rides and face painting that was provided. Baby goats were also present for the children to pet, and the Easter Bunny was there all day to greet the children.

FMSSP expressed thanks to the volunteers who helped make the hunt such a wonderful success. A total of 101 hours was spent stuffing the eggs, and 78 volunteers helped with the task. Those volunteering their time to make this day a success for the children included Magnolia Springs State Park staff, 4-H Club, Garden Club, Sons of Confederate Veterans and Friends of Magnolia State Park.
