Remember When – This Date in 1940

The Pal Theater announced the showing of “Gone with the Wind”, starring Clarke Cable and Vivian Leigh on May 22 and May 23. All seats will be reserved. Tickets are on sale for 75 cents for Matinee and $1.10 for night shows.

The commencement exercise of the Millen High School will take place June 10th at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Class officers are Nell Brannen, President; John McCrary-Vice President; Jack Godbee-Secretary; and Emolyn Hall – Treasurer.

Millen Woman’s Club presents medals to Pioneer Women. Three club members were recognized for having been a member for 32 consecutive years: Mrs. S.C. Parker, Mrs. W.V. Lanier and Mrs. R.L. Lewis Sr. The presentation was made by Mrs. F.S. Boyer.
