High water level at Elam Road Bridge causes concern for Jenkins County Commissioners. After some discussion, the Commissioners agree to reduce the level by pumping some water from the pond on either side of the bridge.

Error in a Georgia Department of Transportation contract for the paving of streets at Tarrymore will cost the City of Millen an additional $12,000. It was discovered that the “square yard” quantities listed in the contract should have been “tons.”

Jenkins County High School sophomore was recently named “All State First Team” by The Atlanta Constitution. Cooper scored 22 touchdowns and is the second leading rusher among Class A schools.
