Are you ready for the season of love? Cuddle up with someone you care about. Whether you want to watch a movie and chill (we have lots of romcoms, available for free checkout) or have a girls night in singing karaoke (yes, we have a karaoke machine available for checkout – it’s part of our new Library of Things) we’ve got you covered.

What, you might ask, is the Library of Things? It’s a collection of items that are available to check out here at the library that aren’t the usual book or movies, but that we think you’ll find entertaining, educational, or just plain useful. Included in the LOT are items such as our karaoke machine, a telescope, a microscope, and much more. You’ll be hearing more about the LOT as the year goes on, so keep your eyes on this column and our Facebook page!

Every month, we have a great Teen Space program for the teens and older kids, and this Saturday, February 9, at 12:30 pm is the day. We’ll be hosting a game day here at the library, and it’s going to be a blast. We’ve got a couple different consoles to play video games plus other tabletop games, so come on over with your best friends and play.

On Tuesdays at 4 pm we have our wonderful craft and storytime, in which we tell the kids a story and show them how to do a craft that relates to the story. This Tuesday, February 12, we’ll be telling Valentine’s stories. Next Tuesday, February 19, we’ll be talking about Black History.

Our Paint @ the Library adult painting class will be on Saturday, February 16, at 11 am. We will be painting a flower peeking up out of the snow. Space is limited, so sign up today.

We will be closed Monday, February 18, for President’s Day.

The latest news about the library is always on Facebook at www.facebook.com/jenkinscountymemoriallibrary - come on over and check us out!

Well, that’s all for now – see you at the library!
