166 turn out for blood drive

Four hundred and five lives were saved Thursday, April 14, when Shepeard Blood Center collected 135 units of blood during a drive held in honor of Joe Sasser who was severely injured several weeks ago. Students in Marsha Madray’s anatomy classes researched the topics of fats, sodium and cholesterol in relation to their hearts and blood pressure. As a final project, students made information booklets covering important data collected during research and class activities.
