Copper thieves hit Planters EMC

The theft of copper continues to be a problem in the area. Approximately $3,000 worth of copper wiring was stolen from Planters Electric Mem- bership Corporation last month. The Jenkins County Disaster Action Team (D.A.T.) for the American Red Cross of Augusta announced recently that the third annual Heroes Campaign fundraiser was a success.
