The Georgia Legislature has approved a plan that exempts manufacturers from paying Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) and Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) on energy used in manufacturing. City sets millage – no tax increase

The City of Millen adopted an 8.073 millage rate for 2012 during a public hearing held Oct. 17. The city has not increased its millage rate since 2008.
