Law reports quiet holiday period



The Thanksgiving holiday period was quiet, according to local law enforcement. The Millen Police Department (MPD) reported one arrest. Horace Gaye of 413 Herndon Street was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana, less than an ounce, on Thursday, Nov. 22. When the first helicopter that was called to transport a patient from Optim Medical Center-Jenkins to another facility had mechanical problems, a second one was dispatched.
