Oceans of fun at the library

Different guests each Tuesday teach kids more than they bargained for

Ready for a program that’s pure fire? Then come to the library on Tuesday, June 14 at 2 pm and meet the guys from the Millen Fire Department! Learn how they go out and save lives and property, and how to make sure they don’t need to come to your rescue. Also get a good look at their truck! If […]

The Road to Appreciation

Mick is a big man with long hair and beard that would place him naturally onstage with the Grateful Dead. Today he is looking at motorcycles, the kind that move easily from asphalt to dirt to unmarked desert. This summer I will be working, as we do have a few twelve month employees, BUT, I am going to also […]

And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord.” The scenario for the Israelites was the worst possible. With the wilderness on both sides and the Red Sea to their back, the […]

Unearthing Camp Lawton

Ignition and Depletion

Our week back was indeed successful in identifying more evidence of the skirmish action at Buck Head Creek Church, and we can say with almost certainty— or as much certainty as possible when digging through layers of the past—that we have some solid evidence of the November 28th, 1864 engagement at Buck Head Creek around the church and road. We’ve […]
